Creativity is my passion. Textiles are my playground.

My artistic work addresses personal issues as well as social, political and philosophical themes of our time. I translate the themes into the textile language and use a variety of techniques and materials. The materials or techniques often speak for themselves.

My main technique is knitting, both by hand and by machine. Another important area of my work is the use of natural colours in textiles. I usually work intuitively, responding to the particular characteristics of the material and developing new possibilities from this. My work often develops into the three-dimensional.

I appreciate the value of supposed mistakes, from which new and previously unimagined things can emerge. My work is process-orientated and is created gradually through continuous experimentation and further development.
